Travel

I traveled to Milan … and home and back again … and yeah I’ll probably be back soon again.

Hello Peeps!
It’s been a while since the last time I checked in here on the blog…
But If you are following me on Instagram you have probably already noticed that I had my first little adventure to Milan for about a month ago.
I was visiting Milan at the time because of my girl Melissa was already staying in the city to visit her boyfriend Philip, so I thought now that I had the opportunity to go live with them and have them show me around, why not take a little trip to Milan and see my girl that I had missed so much.
But, as you may already also have noticed (if you are following me on Instagram) I went to Milan again only a few weeks after..but I think we are saving that story for later.
But since it’s been so long since I was there the first time, I think I’m just gonna give you guys my quick thoughts about some of the things I’ve seen while I was there.

Architecture

Milan is no doubt one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to.
The architecture is just stunning, Milan is… from what I have seen (which is actually not a lot yet) a charming old city with a lot of big beautiful buildings which has some crazy detailing going on, but that’s also what makes this city seem so majestic in many ways.
Especially on photos…I mean if you first capture the light hitting the buildings just right, then you’ll really see all of its details… I don’t know something magical just happens at that moment… and you really get the impression of the history behind the buildings.

Milan fashion feels

For most people, Milan is known as a fashion city were many huge brands in the fashion industry was born and raised.
You can feel that too while walking in the streets of Milan, I think people here are very much aware of what they wanna wear…or at least what high-end designer brand they wanna wear and what trends they may be following the upcoming seasons.

But I must be honest and say that so far I haven’t really seen anyone here yet who have blown my mind when it comes to style, which I’m actually a little disappointed about because I was expecting to get mind blown.
For me, It just seems like high-end designer brands, especially designer shoes is the way to go here … so if you’re wearing a very boring outfit but your shoes are from Balenciaga there will be no problem… you’ll be accepted as a fashionista here.
But only because of the shoes of course.
I’m just joking I’m sure it’s just me who haven’t ran into a real Milan fashionista yet.

The art

If it’s real art, it can speak for itself.

The people and the food

Well as I already told you guys I went to Milan to visit one of my best friends Melissa, and her boyfriend Philip.
Those two are some of the sweetest people I know and I am forever grateful to have people like them in my life.
You know good friends can always make even the worst situation better, so I think it’s important to always stay in touch and never take your good friends for granted.
(M you know I would travel the world just to see you)
But of course Melissa and Philip have a lot of friends in Milan since Philip lives there and Melissa is soon gonna move there…so I got introduced to a lot of people at one time haha… and I must say it was a bit overwhelming, but I tried to keep calm and today I’m just happy that had the opportunity to meet so many lovely people.
Especially one…But I’m gonna tell that story later.

Oh and the food, well it tasted just as good as it looks.
So, if I’m ever gonna move to Milan I’m probably gonna end up being fat.

Oh…
And of course there will soon be a video up from my first trip, so keep yourself updated for that.
But yeah as I said a few weeks after my first trip I went back to see this very special person that ended up meaning everything to me and in fact, that’s why I’m going to Milan again on March 9.
To enjoy the company of the love of my life.

My trip to Stockholm

Processed with MOLDIV

So I’m home from Stockholm! And I had an amazing trip and therefor I will of course tell you guys all about it.
I took a lot of pictures of the hotel, the area we were living in, the food and everything so I hope that you guys will find it interesting to read along while I share my first Stockholm experience with you guys.

//  MY HOTEL  //

Miss Clara by Nobis.

Processed with MOLDIV

So I went to Stockholm last week, and the city as well as my hotel were amazing. I stayed at the Miss Clara by Nobis hotel, which I think had a very nice location in the middle of the city. The room was beautiful with its modern and minimalistic style and VERY BIG windows! Otherwise the service was amazing, and the breakfast delicious.

Find the hotel right here.

// ART //

Moderna Museet – Yayoi Kusama – In Infinity.

Processed with MOLDIV

One of the days my dad and me went to the modern museet to see the art exhibition “In infinity” by Yayoi Kusama.
I have to say that I was kind of disappointed about the size of the whole thing, but at least all the art pieces were amazing!

// The food //

Processed with MOLDIV

So I ate a lot of food while I was there… course yeah. Why not? In Stockholm they have some of the same kind of quality food that we also have in Copenhagen. However, I have to say that I fund a new favorite burger place while I was there, which is nowhere to find in Copenhagen.The place is called Vigårda and it’s situated on Norrlandsgatan 13, 111 43 Stockholm, Sweden. I think the price of a menu is super cheap. And the best of it all? they have the best vegetarian burger I have ever tasted!

Find them on instagram right here.

Btw. If you guys have any other questions about any other places I have been eating in Stockholm, please just write it in the comment and I will try to guide you guys to some delicious places.

// Stockholm is a beautiful city //

So all in all you may now have the impression that I’m completely in love withe Stockholm. And YES you’re right.
And honestly the city is filled with great architecture, great food, great shopping areas, great art…. so yeah how could I not fall in love withe this city? A thing that I’m completely in love with is the look of the buildings in Stockholm; they look a lot like the buildings in Copenhagen… just older and even more beautiful.

// Instagram spots //
